2011 NBA Mock Draft: Detroit Pistons Hope Jan Vesely Isn't Next Darko Milicic

Joe Dumars has done an amazing job of turning the Detroit Pistons into one of the worst teams in the NBA.

Even with an abundance of young players, Joe D hasn't done a great deal to give Detroit reason to hope in the years ahead.

Aside from breaking the bank for Ben Gordan and Charlie Villanueva, Dumars has made an abundance of strange draft decisions.

Will Vesely be the next bust to land in Detroit?

Player Analysis

If you are obsessed with watching dunk highlights, you had better hope Vesely takes the floor in an NBA game soon.

At 6-11, he has astounding athletic skills and even has the ability to knock down perimeter shots.

At the NBA level, he projects as a hybrid forward type player, with his long arms and leaping ability making him a threat around the rim.

Pro Potential: Solid NBA Starter, Potential All-Star

Vesely has loads of potential and a solid NBA body.

Once he finds his niche, he should be a star capable of putting up double-doubles on a nightly basis.

Pick Grade: A

Can you tell I really love dunk highlights?

In all seriousness, the Pistons would be wise to pass on several American hoopsters for Vesely, who isn't a complete mystery.

Once he suits up for the Pistons, Greg Monroe might find himself on the trade market or without a spot in the starting lineup.
